Research Agenda

I am currently busy with research that is looking at the thermodynamic and kinetic modelling of low alloy dual phase and TRIP steels. The project work is a contribution to a broader project investigating more efficient methods for the design and optimization of materials using concepts from the framework of multidisciplinary design.

Research Interests:

 - Thermodynamic modelling (Thermo-Calc)

 - Kinetic modelling of heat treatments

 - Neural Network classification of microstructural images

- Bayesian-based Design of materials

It is sometimes a mistake to climb; it is always a mistake never even to make the attempt.

If you do not climb, you will not fall.

This is true.

But is it that bad to fail, that hard to fall?
